In printing, a bleed refers to the extended margin of a design that extends beyond the final trim size. This ensures that when your product is cut to its exact dimensions, there are no unwanted white edges or misaligned graphics. At Integrity Print Group, we print multiple jobs on large sheets (a process called gang-run printing) and then trim them individually. Since trimming isn’t always 100% precise, bleeds guarantee a flawless, edge-to-edge finish.
Pro Tip: Always download our product-specific templates from the Templates Page to ensure correct bleeds.

Crop marks (or trim marks) are thin lines placed at the corners of your design to indicate where the final cut should be made.
How to Add Crop Marks in Photoshop
Open your file in Photoshop.
Go to File > Print.
Select "Output" from the dropdown menu.
Check "Corner Crop Marks".
Click "Print".
▪️Important:
Crop marks should not appear inside the design area.
If manually added, ensure they are outside the bleed zone.
To avoid trimming errors, follow these key zones:
1. Image Area
The visible part of your design that will appear on the final print.
2. Safe Zone
The inner area where critical elements (text, logos, graphics) must stay.
Prevents accidental trimming of important content.
3. Trimming Zone (Trim Line)
The exact final size of your product.
Slight variations (±1mm) may occur during cutting.
Avoid Borders?
We do not recommend borders in designs because even a minor cutting shift (0.5mm) can make them appear uneven—especially on small items like business cards.
To ensure compatibility with Integrity Print Group’s printing standards:
Set the correct document size (e.g., 3.5" x 2" for business cards).
Extend background colors/graphics 0.125" beyond the trim line (bleed).
Keep text/logos at least 0.25" inside the trim line (safe zone).
Export as PDF (Print Quality, CMYK) with crop marks if possible.
